Chapter Two: The Firefly Garden

Across town, there was a park that had long been abandoned. It was a place once full of laughter and joy, where children would run through open fields and climb the large oak trees. But over time, it had grown dark and forgotten, as street lamps dimmed and no one came to maintain it. The park became a shadow of its former self, a place that people avoided after sunset.

Elara often wandered by the park on her way to the forest. As she stood at the rusted gate one evening, her heart ached to see the once-vibrant space cloaked in darkness. She closed her eyes and imagined it filled with light, a place where people could once again gather beneath the stars, with the trees softly glowing, just like her fireflies.

That night, under the cool moonlight, Elara hatched a plan. She would collect as many fireflies as she could and bring them to the park. Their light would transform the place from shadowed to shimmering, making it a magical haven for the townspeople once more.
