On Halloween night, a chill whispered through the trees as the full moon cast a ghostly glow over the little town of Gloomsville. Everyone was inside, hidden from the strange sounds of the evening, but out in the dark, something strange was brewing.

Midnight struck, and out popped a shadowy black cat named Moonbeam, his fur sleek and his eyes as yellow as lantern light. Perched on his shoulder was a cheeky bat named Echo, who loved to flutter around Moonbeam’s head in dizzying circles. They were on a mission: find the bags of candy that were left out in town by the neighborhood kids.

As they prowled through the shadows, they heard a clattering sound — a clumsy skeleton named Bones was rattling along, his joints creaking and his bony feet clomping. Bones spotted them and gave a toothy grin. “Moonbeam, Echo! Are you two up for a little Halloween adventure?”

“Of course!” Moonbeam purred, his tail flicking. “And by adventure, we mean candy.”

Bones chattered his teeth in agreement and joined their gang. They slinked down the cobblestone street toward the haunted house at the end, where the biggest stash of candy was rumored to be hidden.
